ABC recently purchased “High Maintenance” from the pair, a comedy based on Lemme’s experiences as a elevator attendant in a luxury building in New York during college. Heffernan and Lemme will write and act in the project about the staff at a high-end apartment building.
While Chandrasekhar has become an in-demand TV director with multiple episodes of “Community,” “Psych” and “Happy Endings” under his belt, according to Deadline, Heffernan and Lemme now have their own small screen project in the works. So it’s potentially a good thing that at least a fraction of Broken Lizard is turning to a new medium that might provide a refresh for their particular brand of comedy.
